INGROWN TOENAILS – If you have ever had one you know the pain and how much they… well to put it simply S.U.C.K!

A condition in which the corner or side of a toenail grows into the flesh. The condition usually affects the big toe. People who have diabetes are at greater risk of complications.

Pain, redness, and swelling can occur at the affected nail.

Not all ingrown nails are the same. For the nicer less impacted nails we can remove them safely in a standard treatment with minimal pain. However, the more stubborn nails may require a minor nail surgery called a partial nail avulsion (PNA).

A very simple nail surgery procedure done under local anaesthetic. Minimal pain is experienced post-op and it is a permanent resolution. Our podiatrists use a chemical during the procedure ensure the nail does not grow back.
